This week, we reached a particularly important milestone for Aerodynamics Academy: the first students have moved into Aerodynamics Inn, our new residence exclusively for students of the academy.
Their arrival marks the beginning of a new chapter for Aerodynamics, one in which excellence extends beyond flight training to the environment where our students study, rest, live together, and prepare for their professional future.
Because training to become a pilot is not simply about choosing a programme, a fleet, or a simulator. For many students, it also means moving from another city or country, finding somewhere to live, arranging transportation, and adapting to a completely new routine.
Aerodynamics Inn was created so that they can embrace this change with many of those needs already taken care of.
Training to become a pilot also means changing your life
Aeronautical training requires concentration, organisation, and consistency. In addition to theoretical classes, students must prepare for flights, attend simulator sessions, study independently, and follow a routine that may continue for many months.
When students relocate to begin their training, they also face questions that are not covered in the academic programme:
Where will they live? How will they get to the academy each day? Will they have a suitable place to study? How will they organise their meals? Who will they live with? What support will they receive when they arrive?
These considerations are particularly important for international students and their families. Choosing a flight school involves assessing the quality of its training, but also factors such as safety, accommodation, transport, integration, and everyday life throughout the entire process.

Málaga enjoys around 300 days of sunshine each year and generally favourable weather conditions. In aeronautical training, this does not eliminate the possibility of cancellations or replace the meteorological and operational assessment required for every flight. However, it can support more consistent scheduling compared with other European destinations that experience adverse conditions more frequently.

Aerodynamics Inn is located in Vélez-Málaga, approximately five minutes by car from La Axarquía Aerodrome, with scheduled transport links to Aerodynamics Academy. It is also around a ten-minute walk from the centre of Vélez-Málaga and just a few minutes from Torre del Mar and other everyday amenities.

A residence designed around the life of a student pilot
Aerodynamics Inn is neither a conventional university residence nor accommodation open to the general public. It has been specifically designed for Aerodynamics Academy students and the particular requirements of their training.
The complex covers more than 10,000 m² and offers 83 rooms across several categories. Every room has been designed to provide a balance of rest, privacy, and study, with a private bathroom, internet access, air conditioning, a desk, and everything students need for everyday life.
However, the project goes far beyond accommodation.
The residence features a library, study rooms, fully equipped classrooms, a gym, swimming pool, gardens, dining hall, cinema, and communal areas. It also houses an ALSIM 200MCC simulator within the complex itself—one of the features that best reflects its aeronautical identity.
Each space supports a different aspect of the student experience:
- Places to study and prepare for classes.
- Areas where students can relax after a day of training.
- Facilities that support physical fitness and well-being.
- Spaces where students can socialise and connect with one another.
- Services that simplify everyday organisation.

Aerodynamics Inn offers full board, utilities, internet access, weekly cleaning, reception services, night-time security, and scheduled transport to the academy. Residents also have access to all the complex’s facilities and communal areas.
These services reduce many of the small concerns that, when accumulated over several months, can affect the student experience.
Not having to organise meals every day, set up utilities, find transport, or look for a suitable place to study makes it easier to maintain a more predictable routine. It also gives families a clearer understanding of where the student will live and which services will be available to them.
For students arriving from another country, having an integrated solution connected to the academy can make the transition to life in Spain considerably easier.
