ABOUT US
Aerodynamics Academy
Train at Aerodynamics Academy, a fully aviation-focused environment with students from different areas of the aviation industry and the best facilities in Andalusia.
WHAT IS AERODYNAMICS ACADEMY?
In 1998, Aerodynamics Academy took off into the skies fueled by the dreams and efforts of its founders and admired by its students. The landings were not always perfect, but the perseverance of its dedicated and professional team has turned Aerodynamics into one of Europe’s top flight schools.
Aerodynamics enables its students to access the European job market with solid training and supports them every step of the way, helping them achieve academic results at the highest possible standards.
GET TO KNOW OUR CAMPUS
The aviation campus covers an area of 62,000 m², including spacious and modern facilities such as the main building, mechanical labs, and 13 hangars located within Vélez-Málaga airport. This is where maintenance is performed on our own fleet of aircraft equipped with the latest avionics, offering high-quality training. Soon, the campus will also include a student residence equipped with all the necessary comforts for students.
Overlooking the campus is the main building — a modern rectangular structure of 3,000 m² spread over three floors and located right next to the runway. It houses state-of-the-art training facilities specifically designed for aviation education, briefing rooms, a cutting-edge flight simulator center with the latest technology, offices, and an attractive leisure area for students and staff with fantastic views of the Vélez-Málaga airfield.
The flight simulator room is the most complete in Europe. Practical sessions are conducted in realistic environments that help students complete their flight experience and prepare for a successful career as commercial pilots, cabin crew members, or aircraft mechanics.
OUR HISTORY
In 1998, Aerodynamics Málaga was created with the aim of establishing an AOC (Air Operator Certificate) and a professional pilot school. Thanks to the determination of its founder, Juan Manuel Martín, and the commitment of a great human team, the pilot school evolved into what is now known as Aerodynamics Academy.
From that small private pilot school and aircraft rental service remains only the memory and foundation of what is now Aerodynamics Málaga. Year after year, the goal was achieved: In its early years, it obtained the AOC-017 license and added 3 aircraft to its fleet. With the new century came a major transformation — obtaining the E-ATO 226 license, officially approved by AESA (State Agency for Air Safety) under EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency) regulations for training both private and commercial pilots.
Its first facilities were located at Málaga Airport, later moving to central Málaga. However, the desire to grow and offer a more comprehensive and centralized service could only be achieved in a location combining excellent weather, strong aviation logistics, and good connectivity. Since June 2020, Aerodynamics Academy has been based in the Axarquía region of the Costa del Sol.
Taking Off Toward Quality and Professionalism
Throughout these decades, Aerodynamics incorporated more than 20 aircraft into its AOC and received approval with ATO status to deliver TCP (Cabin Crew Training) under code TCP/AEA/VEL. In February 2021, it obtained certification from AESA for its flagship Airbus A320 FTD simulator, manufactured by SIMLOC, and in September opened a new campus on Avenida Carlos Haya No. 51, focused on LMA (Aircraft Maintenance Technician) and TCP training.
At the same time, Aerodynamics signed a collaboration agreement with Norwegian Airlines for crew training, reaching official status as a training control department for airlines in 2015, training more than 2,500 crew members annually.
After 25 years of activity, expansion plans continue to ensure the best training programs and to reach new heights in the aviation industry with its own Aircraft Maintenance Center (Part 145 / CAMO) and an airline operator certificate that allows charter flights. Aerodynamics continues to conquer new markets, once again setting itself apart from its competitors.
