A meeting point for future pilots
This weekend, Aerodynamics Academy took part in Pilot Careers Live Madrid, one of the leading events in Europe for those considering starting a professional pilot career.
Beyond the number of attendees, the event highlighted a clear reality: interest in becoming a pilot continues to grow, along with the need for transparent and realistic information on how to get started.
Throughout the day, hundreds of visitors approached our stand with a common goal: to understand what pilot training really involves and what steps are required to turn that ambition into a professional career.
Answering real questions at the right moment
One of the key values of events like this is the opportunity to connect directly with future students at a crucial stage: when the motivation is there, but important questions still remain.
Among the most common topics were training duration, required English level, flight progression, and career opportunities after completing the program.
In this context, it is important to clarify a few key points:
- Training duration: becoming a commercial pilot typically takes approximately 19 to 24 months, depending on the chosen program, such as the ATPL Integrated Classic or ATPL Integrated Platinum.
- English level: while a certified level is not mandatory to start, having at least a B2 level or higher is highly recommended, as all training is conducted in English, in line with international aviation standards.
- Flight progression: one of the most critical factors in pilot training is not only the total number of flight hours, but the consistency and frequency at which they are accumulated. At Aerodynamics Academy, students can train up to 5 days per week, with flight availability of up to 6 hours per day, enabling continuous and uninterrupted progression throughout the practical phase. Unlike other environments where operations may be limited by availability or external conditions, our location in Málaga offers more than 300 operational flying days per year, allowing students to consolidate knowledge and skills far more efficiently. This consistent training rhythm not only optimizes the overall duration of the program, but also has a direct impact on employability. Continuous progression helps students build confidence in the cockpit, reinforce procedures, and approach airline selection processes with a stronger and more competitive profile.
- Career opportunities: the aviation industry continues to demand new pilots. After completing their training, students can pursue careers as first officers in commercial airlines, enter business aviation, or continue as flight instructors to build experience within a professional environment.
Addressing these questions in a direct, honest and personalized way is essential to help each individual make informed decisions about their future.
Training aligned with the reality of the industry
At Aerodynamics Academy, we understand that pilot training goes far beyond accumulating flight hours or passing theoretical exams.
Our approach is designed to prepare students to enter a demanding professional environment from day one, with training aligned to the real operational standards of the aviation industry.
With a fleet of 32 aircraft and a fully integrated training ecosystem, students benefit from continuous progression, optimized timelines, and real-world experience at every stage.
Additionally, our location in southern Spain, with more than 300 flying days per year, ensures a consistent and efficient training pace.
This approach is not just about completing a training program, but about developing profiles that meet the real expectations of airlines, where consistency, adaptability and operational confidence make the difference in selection processes.
An environment designed to stay focused
One of the aspects future students value most is being able to train in an environment where everything is designed to support their development.
For this reason, Aerodynamics Academy offers accommodation through Aerodynamics Inn, a student residence specifically designed for aviation students, allowing them to fully focus on their training while becoming part of an international community from day one.
A growing industry with real opportunities
Commercial aviation continues to evolve within a context of sustained growth, driven by the recovery of air traffic and the ongoing need for qualified professionals.
In this scenario, pilot training stands out as one of the most promising career paths within the aviation sector, offering opportunities both nationally and internationally.
Events like Pilot Careers Live help connect this global context with individual decisions, providing access to clear information and specialized training centers.
In this context, pilot employability is closely linked to the quality and approach of training, making it a key factor when accessing opportunities within the industry.
