The obtention of the Private Pilot Licence takes between 6-10 weeks, depending entirely on theory progress. It will allow you to act as pilot in command (PIC) in non-commercial operations on aeroplanes. All flights must be done in good weather conditions otherwise an instrument rating will be required.

 

The first step in modular training to becoming a holder of fATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence).

The PPL comprises 9 theory subjects which can be completed either in-house or distant learning (4 weeks). The official written exams are held at our campus, Aerodynamics Academy is an authorised EASA exam centre.

The practical part of the private pilot course comprises 5 hours in a FNPT II flight simulator and 40 hours’ flight time in a single-engine aircraft, with at least 10 hours as pilot in command (SPIC).

 

The flying phase of the course comes to a close with a practical skill test performed by an authorized Spanish Aviation Safety and Security Agency (AESA) examiner.

This licence has to be renewed after 2 years of its issuance.

What do I need to start my training?

To begin your training, you have to pass the medical class 2 examination standards.

Can I perform remunerated activities with this licence?

No, you cannot obtain profit from flying an aircraft with your PPL. This licence is meant for recreational use only.

What if after obtaining my PPL I want to pursue the CPL (Commercial Pilot Licence) course?

If after obtaining your PPL you want to continue your studies to become a commercial pilot, you have already completed the first step, given that this licence is the pre-requisite to achieving the CPL.

Where can I fly a plane?

With this Private Pilot Licence you can fly unrestrictedly through EASA’s member countries airspaces.
