Your training, month by month

Ground school and flying overlap. Explore each phase to see how they fit together and where the Platinum extension begins.

Months 1–10

The knowledge behind every flight.

Ground school builds the foundation for your training and continues as you start flying.

This is a guide. Timing depends on your progress, the weather, operational availability and exams. Months 20–24 apply to Platinum only.

Train as a pilot on our Málaga campus

Brief a manoeuvre with your instructor, practise it in the simulator and then fly it. Our campus brings the airfield, simulators and instructors together so each session builds on the last.

Frequently asked questions

How long will it take to get my commercial pilot licence?

Classic is scheduled to take around 19 months. The full Platinum programme takes around 24 months because it also includes flight instructor training.

These are estimates. When you receive your CPL depends on your progress, the weather, flight and exam availability, when you pass your tests and how long licence processing takes.

Can I visit the academy first?

Yes. Arrange a visit to see the campus, simulators and fleet and talk through your questions with the team.

What qualifications will I work towards?

The programme includes a CPL with ATPL theory credit (often called a “frozen ATPL”), a multi-engine instrument rating, advanced UPRT and APS MCC. Platinum also includes the flight instructor course.

Our team can explain what each qualification covers and the assessments you need to pass.

Do I need to choose between Classic and Platinum now?

You can ask about both and talk through which route fits your plans and circumstances with our team.

Can I finance my training?

Admissions can discuss financing options and provide the course documents you need for an application. The lender assesses each application and sets the terms.
