ABOUT US

Train at the Aerodynamics Academy, an entirely aeronautical environment with students from different fields of the aviation sector and the best facilities in Andalusia.

WHO ARE WE?

In 1998, Aerodynamics Academy soared into the skies filled with its creators’ hopes and efforts and its students’ admiration. The landing was not perfect, but it was the committed, professional team’s determination that made

Aerodynamics one of the best aviation schools in Europe. Aerodynamics enables its students to access the European workforce with solid training, while helping them in every step of their way to achieving the highest possible academic standards.

The Aero Club Bahía Málaga was founded in 1996 with a school for private pilots and aircraft rental. The first facilities were located at Malaga Airport, later in the capital, but the bug to move forward and offer a comprehensive and more centralized service could only be offered in an environment that combined good weather, aeronautical logistics and good communication. So since May 2020

Aerodynamics Academy is installed in the Axarquia region of Malaga.

Specifically, the campus is located in the Food Technological Park next to the Leoni Benabú aerodrome (LEAX) in Vélez-Málaga between the access road to Benamargosa and the A-356 regional road.

Check out our CAMPUS

The aeronautical campus is comprised of 62.000 m² of ample and modern facilities, housing the main building, the mechanical laboratories and 13 hangars situated in Vélez-Málaga airport. The maintenance of our own fleet of aircraft, which are equipped with cutting-edge avionics, is carried out in the premises.

High-quality training is delivered on-site as well.

The campus will soon offer student housing with first-class amenities.

At the forefront of the campus, the central building is erected: a modern 3.000 m² construction overlooking the runway, with a rectangular floor plan and three storeys. This is where the training facilities are located: equipped with cutting-edge technology and specifically oriented for aeronautical instruction, you can find briefing rooms, the state-of-the-art flight simulator centre, the offices and an appealing recreational area for both students and personnel, which features incredible views of the Vélez-Málaga aerodrome.

We have the most complete flight simulator room in Europe. The practical part of all the courses we offer is carried out in environments which recreate real-life situations to help our students complete their flight experience and prepare them for a successful career as commercial pilots, crew members or aircraft mechanics.

In addition, the strategic location of our facilities, along with Málaga’s exceptional climate warrant unbeatable conditions for flight operations.

Our History

In 1998, Aerodynamics Málaga was created with the objective of obtaining an AOC (Air Operator Certificate) for commercial operations and a professional pilot school. It was thanks to the determination of its founder, Juan Manuel Martín, and the great commitment and professionalism of the team that accompanied him that the school became Aerodynamics Academy.

The small private pilot school and aircraft rental is now a fond memory and the foundation of what Aerodynamics Málaga is nowadays.

The objective was becoming more tangible as years went by. Within the first years of its existence, Aerodynamics achieved the AOC-017 Licence and added 3 aircraft to their equipment. With the advent of the new century, a fundamental transformation took place by obtaining the E-ATO 226 licence for commercial and private pilot training, certified by AESA (Spanish Aviation Safety Agency) under EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) regulations.

The headquarters were first located in Málaga Airport and then, in Málaga city centre. But the drive to progress and offer an integral, more centralised service was only a possibility within an environment that combined favourable weather conditions, aeronautical logistics and efficient communication. It is for this reason that Aerodynamics Academy chooses Costa del Sol in Axarquía region in June 2020.

Taking off towards quality and professionalism

Throughout these two decades, they have added over 20 aircraft to their AOC and obtained ATO approval for the provision of TCP (Cabin Crew) training with the TCP/AEA/VEL code. In February 2021, they obtained certification from AESA for the flagship FTD Airbus A320 simulator, manufactured by SIMLOC, and in September, they opened a new headquarters at Avenida Carlos Haya 51, for the training of LMA (Aircraft Maintenance Technician) and TCP (Cabin Crew).

At the same time, Aerodynamics signed an agreement with Norwegian Airlines for crew training, and in 2015 they consolidated their position as the official training control department for airlines by training more than 2,500 crew members per year.”

In these 25 years of activity, expansion plans persist to ensure the best training program and reach new heights in the aviation industry with their own Aircraft Maintenance Center (Part 145 / CAMO) and an air operator’s license that allows for charter flights. Aerodynamics continues to gain new markets, once again differentiating itself from its competitors.

OUR SIMULATORS

You can learn all the theory and practice with our simulators

What kind of simulator would you like?

FBS the Airbus A320 (SIMLOC)
  • FBS simulator of the Airbus A320 of category FTD + MCC APS, certified by the State Aviation Safety Agency (AESA).
  • It is made up of a fully immersive and functional real A320 cockpit, which, based on the Airbus Data Package (SSP), achieves dynamic behavior like that of a real aircraft.
  • The Simulator Control Manager, through the Simloc FSTD Manager and Simloc IOS applications, helps the operator to manage all the simulator functions
  • It is the only one in Spain that incorporates the ASTi/SERA automated air traffic control (ATC) simulation program, with artificial intelligence. This system allows students to interact precisely with control towers and properly manage communications in flight, which contributes to increasing the realism of practices.
  • Ensures specific training from ab initio to airline training
  • Airbus A320 Specific Training.
  • ATPL Training.
